Tam Thang Tower is the highlight of the square, created to become a new symbol of Vung Tau.

The tower consists of 143 pillars, from 4.55 m to over 34.25 m high, arranged in rising elevation toward the sea.

Its overall form is inspired by three strong boat bows rising into the open space, recalling the history of the three villages of Thang Nhat, Thang Nhi and Thang Tam, names tied to the task of protecting the sea and islands since the reign of Emperor Gia Long.
